The Dubai Precious Metals Conference will be held April 29, 2012 at the Almas Tower. The Dubai Multi-Commodities Center is in charge of the event, which is sponsored by Dubai’s two largest precious metals banks. Emirates NBD, boasting the largest retail client base, and Standard Bank, for commercial clientele, will host approximately 250 conference delegates.
The tallest Middle Eastern tower, which has the equally impressive distinction of sitting above the region’s most extensive precious metals vault, will house the discussions, lead by about 20 precious metals experts. Silver has never received such attention at the single day conference, according to precious metals reporters.
Dubai, already a hub for gold traveling to India and China, is often called “The City of Gold.” As late 2012 silver price targets approach the $60 mark in some investment circles, Dubai hopes to capitalize. Increasing silver demand could place Dubai in a positive position for silver logistics in the coming years.
